The BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology & Science Admission Test) goes for a university level entrance examination that is formulated by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. The aim is to provide students entrance in first year degree in different under graduate and post graduate courses that may include B.Tech, B.Pharma and M.Sc courses.
Furthermore it’s an online examination, clearance of which leads the students to get admission to three of the most prestigious campuses. These include BITS Pilani campus, K.K Birla Goa campus and the Hyderabad campus.
Thereby students interested for the same need to keep a vigilant eye on the syllabus for the same. More or less generally the syllabus is based on 11th and 12th NCERT books. Besides this the paper is subdivided into four sections that highlight the topics needed to cover for cracking exam well off. To have the basics clear is the prime goal therefore students are advised to go through NCERT at the first place. Apart from this topics that need to be addressed well include Units & Measurement, Kinematics, Newton’s Laws of Motion, Impulse and Momentum, Work and Energy, Rotational Motion, Gravitation, Mechanics of Solids and Fluids, Oscillations, Optics, Waves, Current Electricity, Electrostatics, Modern Physics, Magnetic Effect of Current, Electromagnetic Induction, Heat and Thermodynamics and lastly Electronic Devices.
After getting the basics right students need to focus by getting in-depth details on topics including States of Matter, Atomic Structure, Thermodynamics, Physical and Chemical Equilibrium, Electro chemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, Hydrogen and s-block elements, s-p-d and f-blocks elements, Chemical Bonding & Molecular Structure, Principles of Organic Chemistry and Hydrocarbon, Stereo chemistry, Organic Compounds with Functional Groups Containing Oxygen and Nitrogen, Biological, Industrial and Environmental Chemistry and Theoretical Principles of Experimental Chemistry.
For mathematics the golden rule is same always as before i.e. practice makes man perfect. The areas covered under the same include Complex numbers, The fundamental theorem of algebra, Theory of Quadratic equations, Arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progressions, Logarithms and their properties, Exponential series, Permutations and combinations, Binomial theorem, Pascal’s triangle, Circles, Straight lines & Pair of straight lines, Sets, Relations & Functions, Matrices Determinants, Heights and Distances and Statistics.
It’s very essential to be proficient in English as it has become need of the hour to be able to converse at levels. To test the same the syllabus for English proficiency include Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Analogies, Syllogisms, Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms, Conclusion, Composition, Comprehension, Word Formation, Error Correction, Theme detection, Fill in the Blanks, Unseen Passages, Idioms & Phrases, Passage Correction, Idioms and Phrases, Sentence Correction, Passage Completion, Sentence Completion, Subject-Verb Agreement, Antonyms and Synonyms and Sentence Rearrangement.
Logical reasoning which is tested to know whether the candidate can reason logically when needed. For this the syllabus that students need to cover include, Binary Logic, Verbal Reasoning, Non-verbal Reasoning, Analogy, Puzzle Test, Syllogism, Classification Test, Alphabet Test, Eligibility Test, Data Sufficiency, Theme Detection, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relations, Series Completion, Assertion & Reason, Clocks & Calendars, Direction Sense Test, Logical, Venn Diagrams, Situation Reaction Test, Statement – Arguments, Statement – Conclusions, Arithmetical Reasoning, Number and Letter Series, Mathematical Operations, Logical Sequence of Words, Alpha Numeric Sequence Puzzle, Inserting the Missing Character, Number, Ranking & Time Sequence, Linear and Matrix arrangement and Deriving Conclusions from Passages.
